All hair types: including blonde, bleached and previously relaxed or chemically treated hair. The hair can be washed after 24 hours, it is very pleasing, but what we have to remember during this time:
- Hair can not be knitted.
- Do not stick hair behind your ears.
- Hair does can not be wet, do not go to the sauna.
- After hair straightening / keratin treatment, use a special shampoo and conditioner that does not contain sulfate and salt to maintain a longer effect.
- Gently wash the hair with Step 1 Cleansing Shampoo. Do not rub the scalp. Rinse and repeat the process.
Note: The hair must have a rough texture after the second shampoo. For non chemically treated, thick or coarse hair, the second shampoo should be left on for 10 minutes. Rinse very well. Do not apply conditioner.
- Dry the hair until it is 80% dry (no need to comb or brush). This will allow better penetration of the product.
- Shake the bottle well and pour the appropriate amount of Step 2 Keratin Treatment into a plastic bowl
Short hair 30m Medium hair 50ml Long hair 70 – 100ml
- Divide the hair into sections.
- It is important wear gloves before beginning this process.
- Apply the Step 2 Keratin Treatment with a tinting brush, starting 1cm from the roots section by section.
- Note: Comb the hair for even distribution and to remove any excess product. (Excess product may result in discomfort to the eyes during the application process). Allow the Keratin Treatment to “sink in” for 10 minutes.
- Turn on hair iron and set at 230 degrees.
- Blow-dry the hair until it is 80% to 100% dry (use a paddle brush or a comb to avoid fumes during the process). The hair does not need to be completely dry but it is important that the hair is completely straight and smooth.
** This is the most important part of the process so it is vital to use a ceramic iron and set it at the correct temperature, i.e. 210 to 230 degrees.
- Once again, divide the hair into sections. Iron each section 10 times. Each section should be about 1cm wide.
- Begin by moving the iron steadily through the hair. Do not pause but take the iron down the hair shaft in one movement. It is essential that the first 5 times this is done very slowly to ensure that the product is sealed properly into the hair cuticle.
- Fine, damaged and weak ends should be ironed no more than 6 times.
